Junior Oracle ADF Developer

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain user interfaces using ADF Faces components and manage application flow with ADF Task Flows.

- Implement business logic using ADF Business Components (Application Modules, View Objects, Entity Objects).

- Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle and potentially DB2 databases.

- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues in existing ADF applications.

- Contribute to documentation of technical designs, code, and test cases.

- Learn and apply best practices in Oracle ADF development and software engineering.

- Potentially contribute to Java-based development, including working with reporting tools like Jasper, especially within an insurance core system context.

Education & Qualifications :

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle ADF development.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Technical Skills :

Oracle ADF Development :

- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with ADF Faces for UI development, including the use of ADF Task Flows for navigation and application flow.

- Solid experience with ADF Business Components (Application Modules, View Objects, Entity Objects) for building the business logic layer.

Database Skills :

- Familiarity with DB2 Database (advantage).

- Experience with PL/SQL and/or Stored Procedures (advantage).

Programming & Web Technologies (Advantageous) :

- Experience with JavaScript and HTML.

- Understanding of XML.

- Familiarity with Message Queues (MQ) concepts.

Additional Skills (Highly Valued) :

- Familiarity with core systems in the Insurance domain.

- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
