Role Overview :

We are looking for a Data Engineer (1 - 2 years experience) to support the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and data platforms. You will work closely with senior data engineers, data scientists, and ML engineers to ensure reliable, high-quality data for analytics and machine learning use cases.

This role is ideal for early-career engineers who have hands-on experience with data pipelines and want to grow in large-scale data systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain batch data pipelines under guidance from senior engineers.

- Assist in building and optimizing ETL / ELT workflows.

- Ingest data from APIs, databases, and files.

- Write efficient and maintainable SQL queries.

- Perform basic data validation and quality checks.

- Monitor data pipelines and help troubleshoot failures.

- Maintain documentation for data workflows.

- Collaborate with analytics and ML teams to support data requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 1 - 2 years of hands-on experience in a Data Engineer or similar role.

- Proficiency in Python and SQL.

- Basic understanding of data pipelines and ETL concepts.

- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

- Familiarity with data modeling fundamentals.

- Exposure to version control systems (Git).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP preferred).

- Basic experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools.

- Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Kafka).
