Role : Junior API/Middleware Developer

About the Job :


We're looking for an enthusiastic and driven Junior API/Middleware Developer to join our growing integration team.

This role is perfect for someone with a solid foundation in API development and middleware, eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment.

You'll contribute to building and maintaining critical integration solutions, working closely with senior architects and developers.

Role : Junior API/Middleware Developer

Location : Pune/Nagpur, India

Time Zone : UK Time Zone (requiring flexibility for collaboration)

Notice Period : Immediate (Maximum 15 days is essential)

Experience : 3 to 6 years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities :

- API Development : Develop and maintain APIs, with initial exposure and growing involvement in APIGEE (Edge, Hybrid, or X) platforms.

- Middleware Implementation : Implement integration solutions using various middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus, etc.), following architectural guidelines.

- API Standards : Apply good understanding of RESTful APIs, basic API security concepts (OAuth2.0, JWT), and principles of traffic management.

- Integration Fundamentals : Work with foundational integration patterns, message queuing, and service orchestration concepts in practical applications.

- Cloud & Container Exposure : Gain exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and an understanding of containerization (Docker) concepts.

- Collaboration & Learning : Collaborate effectively with team members, articulate technical challenges, and actively contribute to finding the best solutions for integration tasks.

- Agile Participation : Participate actively in Agile development cycles and learn about DevOps principles as applied to integration.

Qualifications :

Required :

- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in API development and/or middleware platforms.

- Some exposure to or strong interest in learning APIGEE.

- Good understanding of RESTful APIs, and basic concepts of API security (OAuth2.0, JWT) and traffic management.

- Familiarity with integration patterns, message queuing, and service orchestration concepts.

- Good communication skills and a strong desire to learn and contribute to complex technical solutions.

- Experience working in Agile environments and an understanding of DevOps principles.

Preferred :

- Basic APIGEE training or certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Associate Cloud Engineer with API gateway knowledge).

- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools.

- Interest in exploring modern integration technologies like Kafka, GraphQL, or similar.

- Prior experience in industries such as banking, healthcare, or telecom is a plus
