JForce Solutions - Automation Testing Engineer

Roles, Responsibilities & Duties :

- Understand application requirements, functional specifications, and user stories for web and mobile applications.

- Design, write, and maintain manual test cases and test scenarios for existing and new application features.

- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing before every release cycle.

- Identify, log, track, and report defects/bugs using appropriate defect tracking tools, and coordinate closely with the development team for resolution.

- Perform pre-release testing to ensure changes meet quality standards and business requirements.

- Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for web-based applications.

- Create and execute automated test suites for regression testing to reduce manual effort and improve test coverage.

- Work with Java-based automation frameworks, including JUnit and Cucumber, to implement test cases and generate test reports.

- Write and maintain BDD-style test scenarios using Cucumber (Given-When-Then format).

- Execute performance and basic load testing using JMeter for selected application modules.

- Integrate automation test execution with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

- Analyze test results, logs, and reports to identify root causes of failures.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and testing review meetings.

- Ensure adherence to testing best practices, quality standards, and documentation processes.

- Continuously learn new testing tools, automation techniques, and industry best practices.

Required Experience & Qualifications :

- Any Graduate (B.E./B.Tech/BCA/MCA/B.Sc/B.Com or equivalent).

- Fresher or Entry-Level Candidate with : Academic projects, internships, or training in software testing or test automation.

Hands-on exposure to :

- Writing manual and automation test cases

- Building and executing automation scripts

- Selenium with Java (preferred)

Basic understanding of :

- SDLC & STLC

- Web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript)

- Agile development methodologies

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
