Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Java Tech Lead to join our engineering hub in Hyderabad, where you will spearhead the design and development of high-scale distributed systems. In this role, you will act as the technical anchor for a high-performing engineering team, collaborating closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable software solutions. Your work will directly influence the performance, reliability, and security of our core platforms, ensuring we deliver seamless experiences to millions of users while maintaining a high standard of engineering excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot to ensure high availability and performance for our enterprise-grade applications.

- Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle, from technical design and code reviews to deployment, ensuring that the team adheres to best practices and clean code principles.

- Design and optimize event-driven data pipelines using Kafka to facilitate real-time data processing and seamless communication between decoupled services.

- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and pair programming, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high-quality output.

- Partner with stakeholders to identify technical bottlenecks and implement innovative solutions that drive business efficiency and reduce system latency.

- Oversee the migration and modernization of legacy components into a cloud-native microservices architecture to improve system maintainability and scalability.

Required Skillset :

- Experience with Kafka is mandatory

- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining complex Java-based applications with a deep understanding of the Spring Boot ecosystem.

- Proven ability to design and manage microservices architectures that are resilient, fault-tolerant, and capable of handling high-concurrency traffic.

- Hands-on experience in implementing event-driven systems using Kafka, with a strong grasp of message queuing, stream processing, and data consistency patterns.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead cross-functional team discussions effectively.

- Strong analytical mindset to troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in software engineering and technical leadership.
