About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Java/Microservices Developer with strong backend development experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 68+ years of experience in developing scalable and high-performing applications using Java (version 8 or above) and Spring Boot, with expertise in microservices architecture. The candidate should also be familiar with RESTful API development, version control, build tools, and should be flexible to work on automation tasks if needed.

This role involves hands-on coding, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ownership of microservices and backend modules that power critical business functionalities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend applications using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.

- Design and implement microservices architecture, ensuring modularity, reusability, and maintainability.

- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs that connect with frontend systems and third-party services.

- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

- Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps, and other developers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Use tools such as Git for version control and Maven/Gradle for project builds and dependency management.

- Participate in code reviews, conduct unit testing, and ensure code quality and security standards are met.

- Be open to working on automation tasks, such as test automation or business process automation using available tools and technologies.

- Maintain proper technical documentation for all developed modules and APIs.

- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Java and related technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 68+ years of professional experience in Java development, with strong command over Java 8 or above.

- Proven hands-on experience in developing microservices using Spring Boot.

- Strong understanding and practical experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

- Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.

- Good knowledge of Git for source code management and version control.

- Familiarity with object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.

- Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teams.

Good to Have / Preferred :

- Experience with containerization tools like Docker.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

- Knowledge of automation tools or scripting for testing or process automation.

- Basic familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Prometheus, or Grafana.
