About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer with strong experience (7+ years) in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, and AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, test, deploy, and support enterprise-grade solutions.

Core Technical Skills :

Programming Languages & Frameworks :

- Java 17 (preferred); strong experience in Java 8+

- Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Framework, Spring Data JPA

- Spring Security for authentication & authorization

- RESTful API design and development

- Strong understanding of Core Java concepts, multithreading, collections, generics, functional programming (Lambdas/Streams)

Microservices & Integration :

- Hands-on experience in designing and developing microservices architectures

- Strong understanding of service discovery, API gateways, inter-service communication

- Ability to write and maintain integration tests using JUnit

- Knowledge of Kafka : Topics, partitions, producers/consumers, consumer groups, replica topics, event-driven design

Test Automation Skills :

- Writing unit tests using JUnit

- API Automation using Spring Boot Test

Tools & Platform Expertise :

CI/CD, DevOps & Cloud :

- Hands-on experience with AWS Services : CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CloudWatch, ECS (Fargate), Secret Manager, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL)

- CI/CD Tools : Git / GitHub, Jenkins, CodePipeline / GitHub Actions

- Containerization using Docker

Development & Code Quality Tools :

- IDEs : IntelliJ IDEA, VS Code

- Documentation : Confluence

- Project Management : JIRA

- Static analysis : SonarQube, PMD, SpotBugs

Database Skills :

- Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL or Dynamo DB

- Good understanding of data modeling, indexing, and performance tuning

Methodologies & Principles :

- Agile (Scrum/Kanban)

- Strong adherence to DRY, SOLID principles

- Experience diagnosing issues in distributed environments

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java & Spring Boot

- Build scalable, secure APIs and integrate with enterprise systems

- Develop event-driven pipelines using Kafka

- Implement CI/CD workflows for seamless deployments

- Write unit, integration, and automated tests

- Participate in architecture reviews and code reviews

- Investigate production issues using AWS CloudWatch & logging frameworks

- Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams across full SDLC

- Ensure code quality using static analysis and coverage tools

- Optimize application performance and database queries

Required Experience :

- 7 - 12 years of hands-on backend development

- Strong production experience in Java 8+ and Spring Boot

- Deep understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and Kafka

- Experience deploying applications in AWS Cloud

- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing
