Java Developer - Spring Boot/Hibernate

Job Summary :

We are seeking a seasoned Java Developer with expertise in Guidewire technologies to design, build, and maintain scalable Java-based applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and a strong understanding of Guidewire integration within core insurance platforms such as PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance, scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and Hibernate.

- Collaborate with Guidewire development teams to integrate Java components with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.

- Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and product owners to gather and refine requirements.

- Ensure adherence to software development best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.

- Troubleshoot complex issues related to performance, scalability, and system integration.

- Document code and contribute to knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

- Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, particularly in the insurance and InsurTech domain.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Minimum of 5 years of professional Java development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful web services.

- Working knowledge or experience with Guidewire technologies (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter).

- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API integrations.

- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Guidewire Certification in PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter is a strong plus.

- Experience with Guidewire Digital Portal or integration using Gosu scripting.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

- Exposure to DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
