Job Description

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build and consume RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.

- Develop and maintain microservices-based applications.

- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality software.

- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following coding standards.

- Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Design and manage database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.

- Implement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices.

- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT activities.

- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues and bugs.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Monitor application health and ensure high system availability.

- Work with DevOps teams on deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to system design discussions.

- Stay updated with emerging Java technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements :

- Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17).

- Experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.

- Knowledge of Spring Security for authentication and authorisation.

- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.

- Database knowledge: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.

- Experience with Hibernate/JPA for ORM.

- Good understanding of SQL queries and database optimisation.

- Familiarity with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ (message queues).

- Experience with Maven or Gradle for build management.

- Knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

- Experience with API testing tools like Postman or Swagger.

- Understanding of caching technologies like Redis.

- Strong knowledge of design patterns, OOP, and data structures.

- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
