Java Developer

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to build and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications for enterprise financial technology systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, multithreading, microservices, and Apache Kafka, along with a solid understanding of SQL and distributed application development.

The role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, an understanding of backend architecture, and the ability to develop reliable services in a collaborative Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build RESTful APIs and integrate services across distributed microservices architectures.

- Implement concurrent processing and multithreading to improve application performance and responsiveness.

- Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka for asynchronous communication and data processing.

- Implement persistence and data access layers using Hibernate/JPA and relational databases.

- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database interactions for performance and reliability.

- Apply object-oriented programming principles and design patterns to develop maintainable, reusable code.

- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and debugging to ensure software quality.

- Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to application stability.

- Work closely with business analysts, product teams, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver technical solutions.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong proficiency in Java 8, 11, or 17, including multithreading and concurrency concepts.

- Practical experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.

- Good understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful web services.

- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including event-driven communication and message processing.

- Experience with Hibernate/JPA and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, exception handling, and coding best practices.

- Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and developing reliable backend services.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative software development practices.

Education :

B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Candidates with a relevant technical degree and strong hands-on experience may be considered.
