About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Java Application Modernization Developer to join our Application Modernization team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring ecosystem, enterprise application development, legacy modernization, cloud-native architecture, and DevSecOps practices. You will be responsible for upgrading legacy applications, developing scalable enterprise solutions, and contributing to CI/CD and cloud transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.

- Participate in large-scale application modernization and platform upgrade initiatives.

- Migrate legacy Java applications to modern Spring Boot architecture.

- Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable applications following enterprise standards.

- Apply secure coding practices and remediate vulnerabilities identified through Snyk, Checkmarx, and other security scanning tools.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps engineering practices.

- Collaborate with geographically distributed Agile teams across business and technology.

- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design, and migration planning.

- Write clean, reusable, efficient, and well-tested code.

- Troubleshoot, debug, optimize, and upgrade existing applications.

- Prepare high-level and detailed technical design documentation.

- Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

- Ensure enterprise security, governance, and coding standards are followed.

- Improve application observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting.

- Maintain technical documentation and knowledge repositories.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend modernization opportunities.

Mandatory Skills :

- 5-8 years of progressive experience in software development with complete SDLC exposure.

- Strong Java 8 (or higher) development experience.

- Strong understanding of Java fundamentals :

- Hands-on Docker containerization.

- Kubernetes deployment experience.

- Strong understanding of OAuth2 and API Gateway security.

- Experience with Git version control using Bitbucket or GitHub.
