Role Overview :
As a Java Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining sophisticated test automation frameworks that ensure the reliability of mission-critical applications. You will work closely with cross-functional development teams and infrastructure engineers to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline. Your contribution will directly impact the speed and quality of software releases, ensuring that complex enterprise platforms remain stable and performant under diverse operational conditions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement scalable automation frameworks using Java to reduce manual testing overhead and improve release velocity.
- Develop robust test scripts using Selenium WebDriver to ensure comprehensive coverage across web-based enterprise applications.
- Manage and configure virtualized test environments using Hyper-V and hypervisor technologies to simulate production-like infrastructure.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate JUnit and TestNG suites into automated build processes, facilitating rapid feedback loops.
- Analyze test results and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, ensuring high-quality deliverables for global stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation for test automation processes and infrastructure configurations to ensure knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in Java programming with a strong foundation in object-oriented design patterns and clean code principles.
- Proven ability to build and maintain automation frameworks from scratch using Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, and TestNG.
- Hands-on experience managing virtualized environments and hypervisor configurations, specifically utilizing Hyper-V for testing infrastructure.
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues within the automation stack and underlying infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment based in Bangalore, demonstrating high levels of ownership and technical autonomy.
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, supported by 5 - 8 years of professional experience in automation engineering.
