About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Java Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Selenium WebDriver, API automation, and automation framework development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable automation solutions, improving test coverage, and driving quality across products through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Implement API automation for RESTful services using tools like Postman, Java REST libraries, or similar frameworks.
- Enhance and optimize existing frameworks for better scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Build and execute automated test suites for UI, API, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Validate REST APIs, analyze responses, and ensure data accuracy across services.
- Drive automation adoption across the team to reduce manual effort and improve release quality.
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand requirements, define test scenarios, and ensure high-quality releases.
- Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and defect triage discussions.
- Provide clear test reports, dashboards, and automation metrics to stakeholders.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Ensure continuous execution and stability of automation pipelines with timely debugging and maintenance.
- Champion best practices in quality engineering, automation, and validation.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Strong programming skills in Java (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle.
- API automation expertise with Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Solid understanding of REST API validation, JSON/XML parsing, and service-level testing.
- Experience in building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Good knowledge of version control (Git), defect tracking (JIRA), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to quality.
Good to Have :
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Exposure to BDD tools like Cucumber.
- Experience with performance testing or security testing tools.
