About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Java Architect with deep expertise in Java/JEE technologies and Banking & Financial Services to lead the design and implementation of large-scale enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining end-to-end architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance while aligning technology solutions with business objectives.

The role requires strong hands-on experience in enterprise integration, middleware technologies, application servers, and cloud-ready architectures, along with proven experience in delivering mission-critical systems for the BFSI domain.

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Solution Design :

- Define and realize end-to-end technical architecture for enterprise-grade applications and platforms.

- Design scalable, secure, and highly available solutions aligned with business requirements.

- Translate business needs into robust technical solutions and architectural blueprints.

Technical Leadership :

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams across the SDLC.

- Drive architectural reviews, code reviews, and design discussions.

- Mentor engineering teams on architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and project managers to ensure successful solution delivery.

Application Development & Integration :

- Architect and design solutions using Java/JEE technologies including Spring Framework, EJB, JMS, and related technologies.

- Design and implement microservices-based architectures and API-driven solutions.

- Lead integration initiatives using middleware technologies such as :

1. IBM Integration Bus (IIB)

2. IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)

3. MuleSoft ESB

- Design enterprise messaging solutions leveraging JMS and asynchronous processing patterns.

Database & Performance Engineering :

- Design and optimize database solutions using :

1. Oracle

2. MS SQL Server

3. MySQL

- Define data models, indexing strategies, and performance tuning approaches.

- Ensure high-performance and low-latency application architectures.

Application Servers & Infrastructure :

- Design and deploy applications on enterprise application servers such as :

1. WebLogic

2. WebSphere

3. JBoss

- Configure and manage Apache HTTP Server/Web Server environments.

- Ensure deployment architectures support high availability and disaster recovery requirements.

Documentation & Governance :

- Create and review architecture documents including :

1. High-Level Design (HLD)

2. Low-Level Design (LLD)

3. Architecture Blueprints

4. Deployment Architecture

5. Technical Specifications

- Maintain architecture repositories and ensure documentation is up to date.

Software Engineering Excellence :

- Drive adoption of software engineering best practices.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security standards, and SDLC processes.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the existing architecture landscape.

Linux/Unix Administration :

- Work effectively in Linux/Unix environments for deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless production deployments.

Required Skills & Experience :

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Java/JEE technologies with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience.

- Deep understanding of :

1. Spring Framework / Spring Boot

2. EJB

3. JMS

4. REST APIs

5. Microservices

6. Design Patterns

7. OOAD (Object-Oriented Analysis & Design)

Integration Technologies :

- Hands-on experience with :

1. IBM Integration Bus (IIB)

2. IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)

3. MuleSoft ESB

Databases :

- Strong experience with at least one RDBMS :

1. Oracle

2. MS SQL Server

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications :

- TOGAF or enterprise architecture certifications.

- Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Experience in DevOps and CI/CD practices.

- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
