Java AI Engineer

About the Role :

We are looking for highly skilled and experienced Java AI Engineers to design, develop, and scale enterprise-grade AI-driven applications and platforms. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Java-based backend development along with hands-on exposure to AI tools, cloud-native architectures, and modern software engineering practices.

This role requires strong technical leadership capabilities, architectural thinking, and experience building scalable distributed systems in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable AI-enabled applications using Java-based architectures.

- Lead and mentor engineering teams across the complete software development lifecycle.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Define and enforce technical standards, coding guidelines, and engineering best practices.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure high standards of quality, scalability, and security.

- Evaluate and recommend modern tools, frameworks, and emerging technologies.

- Identify, troubleshoot, and mitigate technical risks and production issues.

- Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.

- Support deployment, integration, and production rollouts of enterprise solutions.

- Document architectural decisions, workflows, and system designs.

- Stay updated with the latest trends in AI engineering, cloud technologies, and software architecture.

Required Technical Skills & Experience :

Core Requirements :

- 6- 15 years of software development experience with strong expertise in Java.

- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.

- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

- Strong expertise in Hibernate, JPA, Oracle or other RDBMS, MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.

- Hands-on experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Strong understanding of modern deployment and DevOps practices.

- Experience with testing frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.

- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and

OpenTelemetry.

AI & Modern Engineering Exposure :

- Strong understanding of AI-assisted software development workflows.

- Experience using AI productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.

- Familiarity with AI SDLC practices and modern AI engineering workflows.

Good to Have :

- Experience with integration frameworks such as Apache Camel.

- Exposure to enterprise-scale distributed systems and high-performance applications.
