About the Role :


We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Test Engineer specializing in API testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and executing API test cases, validating functionality, and automating API tests using modern tools and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated API test cases for RESTful and SOAP services.

- Validate API functionality, reliability, performance, and security against requirements.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand API specifications and use cases.

- Create and maintain API test suites, scripts, and documentation.

- Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and regression testing.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and potential risks.

- Automate API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, JMeter, or SoapUI.

- Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5 to 7+ years of experience in software QA with a focus on API testing.

- Strong experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.

- Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, or similar.

- Experience in test automation frameworks using Java, Python, or JavaScript.

- Familiarity with JSON, XML, HTTP methods, and status codes.

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests in the deployment workflow.

- Knowledge of version control tools like Git.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
