ITOM Architect - ServiceNow

Role : ITOM Architect

Experience : 8 to 10 Years

Location : PAN India (Remote/Hybrid/Onsite as per project)

Job Type : Full-time / Contract (Specify if needed)

Notice Period : Immediate to 30 days preferred

Key Responsibilities :

Architect and deploy solutions around :

- Discovery & Service Mapping

- Event Management

- Operational Intelligence

- CMDB (Configuration Management Database)

- Cloud Management (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Evaluate existing ITOM tools and processes, suggest improvements and automation strategies.

- Collaborate with ITSM/CMDB/DevOps/Cloud teams to ensure seamless integration with other

ITIL processes and cloud platforms.

- Define and enforce best practices for CMDB health, data quality, and service visibility.

- Guide the implementation of monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Dynatrace) with event correlation strategies.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions using platforms like ServiceNow ITOM, BMC Helix, Micro Focus, or equivalent.

Technical Skills Required :

- Good understanding of ITIL processes, CMDB structure, and relationship modeling.

- Expertise in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.

- Familiarity with Cloud Native Tools (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Operations).

- Good understanding of network protocols, infrastructure, application topologies.

- Experience in API integrations, orchestration, and automation tools.

- Working knowledge of AIOps, machine learning-based operations insights (optional but a plus).

Certifications Preferred :

- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist ITOM

- ITIL v3 or v4 Certification

- Any cloud certification (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication.

- Ability to lead a technical team and mentor junior engineers.

- Client-facing experience for requirement gathering and solution presentations.

Nice to Have :

- Exposure to containerization and microservices monitoring (Kubernetes, Docker).

- Experience with tools like Ansible, Chef, Terraform for automation.

- Understanding of DataDog, Splunk, or ELK stack for log analytics.
