- Hands on experience of application DBA side with various DB2 Utilities both online and offline like IDCAMS, COPY, RECOVER, CHECK DATA, REORG, RUNSTATS, REBUILD, LOAD/UNLOAD, DSNJU003, DSJU004 etc.

- Hands on experience on DB2 tools : DB2 Admin Tool, Log Analysis Tool, Object Comparison Tool, Query Monitor Tool, Automation Tool HPU, IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE for DB2 Performance Expert on z OS etc.

- DB2 DBA activities including DDL/DML operations like creating new objects, modify existing objects structures, grant/revoke privileges.

- Hands on experience of DB2 object changes and handling related impact.

- Understand, write, tune and understand the performance implications of DB2 SQL, application environments & stored procedures.

Good to have skills :

- DB2 Subsystem Setup in Sysplex distributor DDF, RRSAF, Data Sharing Group concepts and Cross Coupling Facility.

- Power designer tool for designing

Education :

- Graduate Bachelors degree (Engineering preferred).

- Preferred certifications : IBM DB2 Database Administration on Z/OS platform.
