The IT Process Automation manager is responsible for leading the design, implementation and optimization of automated IT processes using advanced workflow tools, BIG advantage ServiceNow Workflow Studio, or any other automation and orchestration tool. (ITPA tool only)

This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in automation tools, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to drive efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership :

- Define and execute the IT Process Automation roadmap aligned with organizational goals.

- Identify automation opportunities across IT and business processes to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.

Team Management :

- Lead and mentor a team of automation developers and analysts.

- Allocate resources, manage workloads, and ensure timely delivery of automation projects.

Technical Oversight :

- Oversee development and deployment of automation solutions using tools like ServiceNow Workflow Studio, scripting, and workflow orchestration platforms.

- Ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Work closely with IT operations, application teams, and business units to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

- Communicate project status, risks, and benefits to senior leadership.

- Ability to deliver high-impact presentations showcasing automation strategies and ROI metrics to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement :

- Monitor automation performance and implement enhancements for scalability and reliability.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in process automation and AI.

Required Qualifications :

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 4+ years of experience in automation and 3+ years in a leadership role.

- Hands-on experience with ITPA tools (ServiceNow Workflow Studio) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).

- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise IT environments.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Experience :

- 4+ years in automation

- 3+ years in a leadership/management role

Technical Skills :

- Hands-on with ITPA tools (e.g., ServiceNow Workflow Studio)

- Scripting languages : Python, PowerShell

- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise IT environments

- Experience leading and mentoring automation developers/analysts

- Stakeholder management : collaborating with IT ops, app teams, and business units

- Ability to communicate project status, risks, and benefits to leadership

- Ability to deliver high-impact presentations (automation strategy, ROI)

Relocation to Chennai is mandatory
