Micro Labs - IT Network Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network & IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage, maintain, and enhance the organizations network and IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network systems, IP telephony, audio-video conferencing solutions, CCTV, and biometric systems while ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Network Infrastructure Management :

- Design, implement, and maintain Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure.

- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability.

- Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and patch management.

- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.

2. Network Design & Documentation :

- Create and maintain detailed network diagrams and infrastructure documentation.

- Plan and design passive network cabling (structured cabling systems).

- Maintain records of network configurations, IP addressing schemes, and topology.

3. IP Telephony & Communication Systems :

- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot IPBX systems.

- Manage VoIP configurations, extensions, and call routing.

- Ensure smooth functioning of Audio & Video Conferencing systems.

- Provide technical support for conference room setup and virtual meeting infrastructure.

4. Surveillance & Access Control Systems :

- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems.

- Implement and support Biometric access control devices.

- Ensure system uptime and troubleshoot related technical issues.

5. IT Support & Troubleshooting :

- Provide technical support to end users for network and infrastructure-related issues.

- Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and configuration problems.

- Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement and support.

- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.

6. Security & Compliance :

- Implement network security measures including firewalls, VLANs, and access controls.

- Monitor systems for security breaches or vulnerabilities.

- Ensure data protection and system backups are properly maintained.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.

- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in network administration and IT infrastructure management.

- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.

- Experience working with IPBX, CCTV, Biometric, and AV conferencing systems.

- Ability to create network diagrams using tools such as Visio or similar software.

Preferred Skills :

- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.

- Experience with firewall configuration and network security practices.

- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
