Our client is a global top-tier consulting firm supporting a large manufacturing-focused organisation, operating across core industries including Steel, Cement, Chemicals, and Energy. The engagement is being delivered as part the firm's OTC-led transformation initiative, supporting a complex, group-wide technology modernisation effort.

The IT Enterprise Architecture Consultant role sits at the heart of a large-scale ERP-led and enterprise IT transformation, where the consultant will play a critical role in assessing the current IT landscape and shaping a future-ready enterprise architecture. The work will directly influence application rationalisation, integration strategy, IT operations enablement, and cost optimisation across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities :

- Assess the current (AS-IS) enterprise IT landscape, covering SAP (ECC/S/4HANA, MDG, BW, IBP), non-SAP enterprise applications, MES/shop-floor systems, and IT operations tools

- Define the future-state (TO-BE) enterprise architecture, including applications, integrations, data, tooling, and cloud/hyperscaler considerations aligned to SAP RISE and clean core principles

- Lead application and tooling rationalisation, identifying opportunities for consolidation, standardisation, modernisation, or sunsetting across the group

- Design the target integration and ecosystem architecture across SAP, non-SAP, MES, middleware, and ITSM platforms to reduce complexity and technical debt

- Support IT operations and service management enablement, including ITSM tooling strategy, monitoring, automation, and SLA alignment

- Bring a strong cost, TCO, and value lens, supporting cost optimisation through license rationalisation, simplification, and scalable architecture decisions

Your Background :

- 8-15 years of experience in enterprise IT architecture and ERP/SAP-led transformation programs

- Strong hands-on exposure to SAP ECC / S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Analytics (BW, Datasphere, SAC), and enterprise integrations

- Experience working in manufacturing or process-industry environments (Steel, Cement, Chemicals, Energy preferred)

- Proven capability in translating complex AS-IS landscapes into clear, actionable TO-BE architectures

- Solid understanding of integration patterns, middleware, data flows, and IT operations tooling

- Prior consulting experience on large transformation programs is strongly preferred

Other Details :

- This is a contractual role with a duration of 5 months. The engagement is case-team driven, with a high-intensity work style and onsite presence in Mumbai is required.
