Job Description

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled IT Engineer to set up and manage our office IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, stable, and high-performance systems for our software development environment. The role involves data security (DLP), firewall management, local server setup, network and cabling installation, and configuration of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities :


Infrastructure/Network Setup & Maintenance :


- Plan, install, and configure local servers (Windows/Linux)

- Implement and maintain structured network cabling

- Configure routers, switches, and wireless access points

- Ensure network performance, stability, and redundancy,

- Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot bottlenecks

Security & Data Protection :


- Deploy and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions

- Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls and intrusion prevention systems

- Implement VPNs for secure remote access

- Apply access control policies for users, devices, and applications

System Administration :


- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies

- Deploy and update software and security patches

- Monitor system logs and respond to alerts

- Configure and maintain backup & disaster recovery systems

IT Support :


- Provide Level 1/Level 2 technical support to employees

- Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues

- Document configurations, procedures, and asset inventory

Vendor & Project Coordination :


- Work with ISPs, hardware suppliers, and service providers

- Assist in IT procurement and ensure timely delivery of equipment

- Ensure IT setup meets compliance and audit requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications :


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in :

  • DLP solutions (Symantec, Forcepoint, McAfee, or similar)
  • Firewall administration (Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWall, etc.)
  • Local server setup (Windows Server, Linux)
  • Network setup (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), cabling, and configuration


- Strong knowledge of :
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
  • VPN technologies
  • Backup and recovery solutions
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace administration

- Good problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in IT security audits and compliance

- Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)

- Exposure to cloud integration (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash)

Key Attributes :

- Detail-oriented with a focus on security and reliability

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

- Strong troubleshooting skills under pressure
