SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES :

The IT Business Analyst for Finance Reporting & Analytics will work with client's finance stakeholders and IT teams to design, develop, and deliver financial reporting and analytics solutions based on D365 Finance & Operations data.

The role focuses on gathering reporting requirements, analyzing our clients business processes and D365 data structures, defining KPIs, preparing report layouts and functional specifications, and supporting the development and testing of reports and dashboards using D365FO native tools, Power BI, Excel, and other analytics tools.

Typical reporting areas include: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Trial Balance, AP/AR aging, Fixed Assets, CAPEX, Cost Accounting reporting, Tax/compliance reports, massive intercompany and GL/subledger reconciliations.

- Testing & Validation : Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users. Validate that reports meet business expectations and accuracy standards

- Documentation & Standards : Maintain business requirement documents (BRDs), FRDs, and data dictionaries. Ensure compliance with reporting standards and audit requirements.

- Advanced Analytics Support : Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, and forecasting support . Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

- Data Governance & Quality : Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems. Define and enforce data validation rules and reconciliation checks.

- Business & Process Improvement: Analyze current finance/reporting processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Recommend process enhancements and support continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

- 7-8 years of operational finance experience

- Experience producing and interpreting financial reports

- Familiarity with ERP systems (D365FO/SCM, AX2012, GP)

- Expertise in financial/management reporting

- Experience with Power BI, Excel

- Bachelor's/Master's in Finance/Business/IT

- Excellent communication skills
