- Leadership & Communication : Act as a leader in communicating and collaborating with technical teams, customers, and internal organizations to resolve issues and achieve customer satisfaction.

- Backup Operations & Maintenance : Maintain and support complex backup solutions, including virtual libraries, Disk-to-Disk (D2D) systems, physical tape libraries, and their components.

- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving : Proactively analyze daily backup failures, identify root causes, and systematically resolve issues to achieve a near 100% backup success rate. Provide troubleshooting for backup, recovery, and archiving in a large, distributed environment.

- Planning & Implementation : Plan and implement best practices for backup solutions and ensure adequate storage capacity is available through proactive measures.

- Reporting & Documentation : Provide regular status and progress reports on backup activities. Create and update documentation for backup procedures, solutions, licensing, and project artifacts.

- Configuration Management : Perform configuration changes and manage upgrades of backup software and patching in the backup environment.

Technical Skills :

- Core Expertise : At least 5+ years of experience in Commvault troubleshooting or administration.

- Backup Solutions : In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Backup concepts, including job scheduling, automation, reporting, and basic failure troubleshooting.

- Hardware & Software : Hands-on experience with D2D and/or Physical Tape Library products such as StoreOnce and MSL Tape Libraries (or equivalent).

- Operating Systems : Proficiency in at least one operating system.

- Networking : Strong understanding of network fundamentals and concepts like iSCSI protocol.

- Problem-Solving Tools : Aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving on Tape Libraries, Library Management software, and SAN connectivity, including log analysis.

- Optional Knowledge : Familiarity with Zerto, Veeam, and Data Protector.

Qualifications & Experience :

- Professional degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years related IT experience

- Hands on experience, at least 5+ years, in Operations and Support on Backup applications : Commvault

- Aptitude towards problem solving and troubleshooting skills on Tape Libraries, Library Management software, SAN connectivity, backup software etc., including log analysis.

- General knowledge of networking concepts and iSCSI protocol

- Familiarity with different types of Zerto, Veeam, Data Protector

- Backup failures, resolving them in collaboration with Commvault support

- Understanding of engaging OEM support and escalation on Zerto, Veeam, Data Protector, Commvault

- At least 05 years of Enterprise Backup Commvault troubleshooting or Administration experience

- Network fundamental

- Concepts of Enterprise Backup solution : Job scheduling, automation, reporting, Backup Performance, Basic Backup failure troubleshooting.

- Understanding of Tape rotation and Tape management on Physical Tap Libraries in Backup environment

- D2d and/or Physical Library Backup Products - StoreOnce, MSL Tape Libraries or equivalent

- At least one Operating system

Certifications :

- Ideal candidate will be trained & certified in Commvault or any Enterprise Backup application.
