Ishan Technologies - Senior Software Engineer

About the Role :

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable, high-quality software solutions, and has a deep understanding of software engineering principles, coding standards, and agile methodologies.

You will contribute to both design and development while mentoring junior engineers and playing a key role in technical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software applications.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.

- Participate in architecture and design discussions, and contribute to system and product planning.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA engineers, designers, and DevOps.

- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency.

- Take ownership of modules/features and drive them through development, testing, and deployment.

- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

- Mentor and guide junior developers, helping them grow technically.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and team productivity.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 4- 7 years of hands-on software development experience.

- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java / Python / C# / JavaScript / TypeScript / Go

- Strong experience in backend development using frameworks like Spring Boot, .NET Core, Express.js, Django, etc.

- Solid understanding of frontend technologies (React, Angular, Vue.js if applicable).

- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and third-party integrations.

- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.

- Good understanding of containerization and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
