About the Job :

We are seeking a skilled Red Hat OpenShift Engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade container orchestration environments using OpenShift and OpenStack platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with OpenShift installation, configuration, and scaling, alongside automation expertise to streamline deployments and operational workflows.

You will work closely with DevOps and cloud teams to ensure seamless deployment, management, and security of cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform clusters in on-premises, hybrid, or cloud environments.

- Perform cluster scaling operations (horizontal and vertical) to meet application demand and performance requirements.

- Handle OpenShift lifecycle management including upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery to ensure platform stability and availability.

- Design, deploy, and maintain OpenStack infrastructure to support containerized workloads and virtualized environments.

- Manage OpenStack components and services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security compliance.

- Develop and maintain automation playbooks and scripts using Ansible and Terraform to provision, configure, and manage OpenShift and OpenStack environments.

- Automate routine operational tasks such as cluster provisioning, application deployment, configuration management, and monitoring setup.

- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to containerized applications, networking, storage, and underlying platform infrastructure.

- Work collaboratively with application developers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot integration and deployment challenges.

- Implement security best practices across the OpenShift and OpenStack platforms, including role-based access control (RBAC), network policies, and secure configuration management.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational security policies through continuous monitoring and audits.

- Deploy and manage monitoring and logging solutions such as ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Prometheus, and Grafana to provide observability into cluster health, application performance, and security events.

- Configure alerting and reporting mechanisms to proactively identify and resolve operational issues.

- Work closely with DevOps, cloud, and development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application deployments.

- Document architecture, configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Proven hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift installation, configuration, and administration.

- Experience managing OpenStack cloud platforms and services.

- Strong knowledge of container orchestration concepts and Kubernetes architecture.

- Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.

- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.

- Solid understanding of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.

- Strong troubleshooting skills for containerized environments and cloud infrastructure.

- Red Hat certifications such as EX280 (Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration) and RHCA are highly desirable
