About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Consultant specializing in both public and private cloud environments to guide clients through their cloud transformation journeys. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong consulting skills to design, implement, optimize, and support cloud solutions that meet complex business, security, and compliance requirements. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, architects, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud architectures.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of client business needs, IT infrastructure, application portfolios, and existing workloads.

- Recommend tailored cloud strategiespublic, private, or hybridbased on performance, compliance, and operational requirements.

- Develop cloud adoption roadmaps, business cases, and ROI analyses for executive-level decision-making.

- Design scalable, secure, resilient cloud architectures using AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or on-prem private cloud technologies (VMware, OpenStack, Nutanix, etc.).

- Architect hybrid cloud solutions integrating on-premises systems with public cloud platforms.

- Define reference architectures, integration patterns, and data flow models to support enterprise workloads.

- Implement network architectures including VPCs, transit gateways, VPNs, peering, firewalls, and SD-WAN integrations.

- Lead end-to-end migration projects including discovery, design, data migration, testing, and cutover.

- Select appropriate environments (public, private, or hybrid) for each workload based on cost, performance, latency, and security considerations.

- Implement automated deployment processes using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or Ansible.

- Optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost efficiency through continuous monitoring, resource right-sizing, and automation.

- Configure monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver, Prometheus, etc.).

- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies across multi-cloud or hybrid architectures.

- Ensure strong security posture across public and private cloud environments by applying IAM, MFA, role-based access controls, encryption, and secure networking.

- Implement industry-specific compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, or local regulatory requirements.

- Develop governance models, tagging standards, FinOps practices, and policy frameworks to ensure consistent cloud operations.

- Provide L3-level technical support for cloud platforms, including troubleshooting, performance analysis, and architecture improvements.

- Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for client or internal teams to build long-term cloud management capability.

- Document solutions, architectures, and operational procedures to support knowledge transfer and maintainability.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience :

Technical Skills :

- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms : AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.

- Strong understanding of private cloud technologies : VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, OpenStack, Nutanix AHV.

- Proficiency in cloud networking : VPC/VNet design, routing, load balancers, WAFs, firewalls, hybrid connectivity.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code : Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Bicep, Ansible.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).

- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE).

- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and Zero Trust architectures.

- Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and logging tools.
