Role Overview:

Iris Software is seeking a seasoned Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our high-performing engineering team in Gurgaon. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining robust automation frameworks that ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams, developers, and stakeholders to define testing strategies that align with business objectives. By driving automation excellence, you will directly impact the reliability and scalability of our platforms, ensuring a seamless experience for our global client base while accelerating our release cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks from scratch to improve overall test coverage and reduce manual intervention.

- Execute complex API testing using RestAssured to validate backend services and ensure seamless integration across distributed systems.

- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium and Playwright to enhance the stability of web-based applications.

- Collaborate with development squads to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, facilitating faster feedback loops and higher code quality.

- Analyze system performance and identify potential bottlenecks to ensure the software meets rigorous enterprise standards before deployment.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in building automation frameworks using Python, with a strong emphasis on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

- Proven ability to perform comprehensive API testing and UI automation using industry-standard tools like RestAssured, Selenium, and Playwright.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective, automated test scenarios.

- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical challenges and testing strategies to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment in Gurgaon, maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration with distributed teams.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in software testing and development.
