Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer / Java Lead to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Microservices, Multithreading, SQL, and Kafka, along with solid problem-solving and system design skills.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices following best practices for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

- Develop highly concurrent and high-performance applications using Java multithreading and concurrency concepts.

- Work with Kafka to design and implement event-driven, asynchronous, and distributed systems.

- Design and optimize SQL queries, database schemas, indexes, and transactions for high-performance applications.

- Analyze application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.

- Implement fault-tolerant and resilient microservices with appropriate error handling, retries, timeouts, and monitoring.

- Participate in system design and architecture discussions for scalable backend solutions.

- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.

- Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices and coding standards.

- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, DevOps, and other development teams.

Required Skills :

- 6 - 10 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.

- Strong proficiency in Core Java, including OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Generics, and Java 8+ features.

- Strong understanding of Multithreading and Concurrency, including threads, synchronization, locks, executors, thread pools, and concurrent collections.

- Hands-on experience developing Microservices using Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem.

- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and distributed-system concepts.

- Good understanding of Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, offsets, and message delivery semantics.

- Strong SQL skills with experience in query optimization, joins, indexes, transactions, and database design.

- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

- Experience with unit testing and debugging production-grade applications.

- Good understanding of Git and CI/CD practices.

Good to Have :

- Experience with Spring Cloud, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Knowledge of distributed caching and database scalability.

- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar platforms.

- Exposure to system design and high-scale distributed applications.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
