Iris Software - Senior Engineer - Java/AWS Development

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer / Java AWS Developer with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring ecosystem, AWS cloud services, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in cloud-native application development, backend engineering, infrastructure setup, and enterprise-scale solution design.

The role involves working on mission-critical applications, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Hibernate

- Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications Develop and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using CDK and cloud-native services

- Work extensively with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, ECS Fargate, EC2, and KMS

- Implement OAuth/OpenID authentication mechanisms using Azure integrations

- Configure and manage VPCs, Security Groups, ingress/egress rules, and cloud networking components

- Develop CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and related DevOps tools Work on SFTP integrations, PGP encryption/decryption, and secure data handling mechanisms

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture design, development, deployment, and optimization

- Participate in code reviews, solution design discussions, and technical troubleshooting

- Maintain source code repositories and branching strategies using Git

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong experience in Core Java (Java 8+) and object-oriented programming concepts

- Hands-on expertise in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Hibernate

- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and middleware technologies

- Experience with Oracle DB and PL/SQL packages

- Experience with messaging systems such as JMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, SQS, etc.

- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services including S3, EBS, Lambda, ECS, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge

- Experience with Java multithreading and design patterns Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment practices

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills Good to Have Skills:

- Experience with Ansible templates AWS Redis Cache experience Cloud9 development environment setup Spring Master Slave architecture knowledge

- Hands-on infrastructure setup for DEV, SIT, and PROD environments

Preferred Candidate :

- Profile: Experience in enterprise application and product engineering environments

- Strong cloud-native development expertise

- Ability to work in agile and collaborative teams Exposure to financial services or large-scale enterprise projects preferred
