Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Java Kafka Developer to build and maintain high-performance, scalable backend applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and distributed systems, along with exposure to Trading, Foreign Exchange (FX), or Low Latency applications.

This role requires a strong understanding of backend architecture, concurrent programming, and event-driven systems in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build and enhance microservices-based applications.

- Develop high-throughput and low-latency systems using Apache Kafka.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Work closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.

- Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.

- Support deployment and monitoring of applications in production environments.

Required Skills :

Strong experience in Java 8+.

Expertise in :

- Multithreading

- Collections Framework

- JVM Concepts

Hands-on experience with :

- Spring Boot

- Microservices Architecture

- REST APIs

- SQL Databases

Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven systems.

Experience with distributed systems and scalable backend applications.

Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.

Domain Experience :

Experience in any of the following domains is highly preferred :

- Trading Platforms

- Foreign Exchange (FX)

- Capital Markets

- Investment Banking

- Low Latency Systems

- High-Frequency Transaction Processing

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.

- Understanding of design patterns and system design principles.

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
