iRage - Quality Assurance Engineer - C++

We are seeking a QA Engineer with expertise in backend testing and profi ciency in Python and C++. While prior trading/HFT experience is a plus, the candidate must have a strong foundation in automation testing, APIs, and databases, and be eager to work on high-performance, business-critical systems. This role involves signifi cant cross-team collaboration, requiring excellent collaboration skills and the ability to translate technical quality insights into business impact.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement automation test suites for backend systems, APIs, and databases.

- Develop reusable automation frameworks using Python (PyTest, Requests) and C++ (gTest, Boost.Test).

- Collaborate with development, product, and client teams to defi ne test requirements and acceptance criteria..

- Conduct API testing (REST, WebSocket, FIX where applicable) to validate system reliability and functionality.

- Perform database validations (SQL queries, consistency checks, trade/order data validation).

- Participate in client discussions, providing clear test strategies, reporting defects, and aligning on quality expectations.

- Drive cross-team collaboration to ensure smooth integration testing between trading engines, risk systems, and data pipelines.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated regression and smoke tests.

- Support performance and load testing under real-world scenarios.

Required Skillset :

- Strong C++ skills with a good experience of C++11 and C++14.

- Good knowledge in scripting languages like Python.

- Comfortable with working on Linux.

- Adept problem-solving skills, data-structures and algorithms.

- Strong understanding of computer architecture and multi-core architecture.

Desired Skills :

- Understanding of multi-threaded programming.

- Network and socket programming knowledge.

- Experience with inter process communication.

- Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a team player.
