InterSystems IRIS Developer

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced InterSystems IRIS Developer to join our team on a hybrid, contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the InterSystems IRIS Data Platform, leveraging its capabilities to build robust and scalable solutions. This role requires strong proficiency in ObjectScript, SQL, and various integration technologies, with a specific emphasis on healthcare data standards.

Responsibilities :

- Develop, implement, and maintain high-performance applications and integrations using the InterSystems IRIS Data Platform.

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in ObjectScript for business logic, data processing, and system enhancements.

- Utilize SQL extensively for data manipulation, querying, and database management within the IRIS environment.

- Design and implement integration solutions using standard technologies such as REST and SOAP APIs to connect IRIS with internal and external systems.

- Must have experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) : Design, develop, and implement solutions that adhere to FHIR standards for healthcare data exchange.

- Perform data modeling within the InterSystems IRIS environment to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.

- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of IRIS applications and databases to ensure high availability and responsiveness.

- Deploy and manage InterSystems IRIS instances on various operating systems, including Linux and Windows environments.

- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions that meet business needs.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Hands-on experience with the InterSystems IRIS Data Platform is mandatory.

- Proficiency in ObjectScript (formerly Caché ObjectScript).

- Strong command of SQL for database interaction.

- Demonstrated experience with integration technologies including RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.

- Mandatory : Solid experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) for healthcare data exchange and interoperability.

- Proven experience with data modeling concepts and implementation within database systems.

- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of database and application performance.

- Practical experience in deploying and managing InterSystems IRIS on Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
