Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer with deep expertise in Python and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). This role involves designing scalable systems, leading engineering teams, and delivering high-quality software solutions aligned with business needs.

You will play a critical role in architecture, development, and team leadership, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive successful product delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Delivery :

- Lead a team of engineers and drive end-to-end software development lifecycle.

- Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams for seamless delivery.

- Take ownership of deliverables and ensure timely execution.

Architecture & Design :

- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems using microservices and event-driven architecture.

- Define High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD).

- Ensure systems are built with an API-first approach.

Backend Development :

- Design and develop robust APIs using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).

- Build and manage RESTful / GraphQL APIs.

- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems.

- Apply SOLID principles and clean architecture practices.

- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS/Azure.

- Work with AWS services like Lambda, EKS.

- Implement containerization using Docker, Kubernetes.

Quality & Best Practices :

- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.

- Ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable code.

- Implement observability: logging, monitoring, alerting.

Non-Functional Requirements :

- Design for performance, scalability, availability, and security.

- Ensure systems are production-ready and resilient.

Communication & Mentorship :

- Mentor and guide junior engineers.

- Conduct and present technical demos and solution walkthroughs.

- Create and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 9 to 18 years of experience in software engineering.

- Strong expertise in Python (core concepts including decorators and advanced features).

- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure.

- Strong experience in building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.

- Expertise in microservices architecture and containerization (Docker).

- Experience with Kubernetes / ECS and CI/CD pipelines.

- Strong understanding of system design and scalability patterns.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Proven ability to own and drive projects independently.

Good to Have :

- Experience with GraphQL APIs.

- Exposure to observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).

- Experience in AI/ML or LLM-based systems.

- Knowledge of multi-cloud architectures.
