Integration Engineer - Healthcare Domain

Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Integration Solution Design and Development:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather integration requirements and design robust integration solutions. Develop and maintain interfaces using healthcare integration standards, such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM. Implement and configure middleware platforms and integration engines (e.g., Mirth, BizTalk, or Rhapsody).

2. Healthcare System Integration:

Integrate electronic health record (EHR) systems, laboratory information systems (LIS), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and other healthcare applications. Ensure data accuracy and integrity during the integration process. Monitor and troubleshoot integration workflows to identify and resolve issues.

3. Security and Compliance:

Implement security measures to protect patient data during the integration process. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Healthcare Integration or in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare integration standards, such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM.
  • Experience with integration middleware and engine platforms, such as Mirth, BizTalk, or Rhapsody is plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Javascript) and data transformation (XML, JSON).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and healthcare professionals
