Role : IBM ELM Solution Architect

About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced IBM ELM Solution Architect with a strong background in system engineering and software development lifecycle management.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IBMs Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) suite and a deep understanding of OSLC, REST APIs, and integrations with third-party tools.
This role offers the flexibility of remote work while playing a key role in defining scalable architectures, driving ALM transformation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define, document, and implement scalable and maintainable architectures using the IBM ELM suite including :
1. DOORS Next
2. Engineering Workflow Management (EWM)
3. Engineering Test Management (ETM)
4. Global Configuration Management (GCM)
- Lead technical design discussions and propose end-to-end solutions for systems engineering and software development lifecycle requirements.
- Develop and maintain solution roadmaps aligned with enterprise Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) transformation goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify future needs, and translate them into actionable architectural plans.
- Design integrations with third-party tools using Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC), RESTful APIs, and the RTC SDK.
- Define and oversee implementation plans, ensuring consolidation of changes and delivering solutions within agreed timelines.
- Provide guidance on best practices for version control using Git-based systems (desired).
- (Optional) Utilize Python scripting for automation and application development tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 8+ years of experience working with IBM ELM tools, including :
- PureVariants
- SmartFacts
- DOORS / DOORS Next
- Windchill Modeller
- Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- In-depth knowledge of Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC).
- Experience integrating IBM ELM with third-party tools using OSLC, REST APIs, and RTC SDK.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and application development (optional but preferred).
- Familiarity with Git-based version control systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document architectural designs and implementation plans.
