Intas Pharmaceuticals - SAP ABAP Developer/Consultant

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

As an SAP ABAP Developer/Consultant, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of technical objects, including development, testing, and maintenance.

- Serve as the core ABAP Developer, responsible for technical design, coding, and quality assurance.

- Prepare detailed Technical Specifications based on functional requirements.

- Execute rigorous Unit Testing, contribute to integration testing, and provide support during user acceptance testing.

- Assure compliance with all internal programming, documentation, and governance standards.

- Review program codes, troubleshoot issues, and correct ABAP program errors efficiently.

- Maintain and update existing custom programs and interfaces as required by business changes or system upgrades.

- Assist in technical development estimations for assigned project tasks and change requests.

- Focus on maintaining, optimizing, and improving the performance and stability of existing applications and systems.

Desired Skills & Experience :

Qualifications :

- Education : B Tech / M Tech / MBA / MCA or equivalent qualification.

- Preference : Prior work experience within the Pharma/Life Sciences industry is highly desirable.

- Certification Preference : SAP Certification in ABAP is a distinct advantage.

Technical Expertise (2-4 Years) :

- 2 to 4 Years of relevant, hands-on experience in SAP ABAP design, testing, and debugging work related to the implementation, enhancement, and support of various SAP modules.

Must Have Skills :

Solid, hands-on development experience across the core RICEF objects :

- ABAP Dictionary (Data Modeling, Views, Lock Objects).

- Classical and Interactive Reports.

- Standard and Custom Forms : SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms (preferably).

- Dialog Programming (Module Pool).

- Interface Programming (BAPIs, RFCs).

- Enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Spots).

Integration Proficiency :

- Strong working knowledge of ALE/IDOCs, including handling various inbound/outbound standard and custom IDOC types.

- Working knowledge of interfacing technologies.

Modern ABAP :

- Solid foundation in Object-Orientated ABAP (OOPs).

Key Development Skills :

- Proven experience in Code Remediation and utilizing Standard SAP Remediation tools for system upgrades/migrations.

- Basic knowledge of Performance Tuning techniques.

- Proficiency in ABAP debugging and troubleshooting complex issues.

Functional Awareness : Basic working knowledge of core SAP functional modules, including SD, MM, PP, FI, and QM.

Professional Attributes :

- A proactive self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in clear, business-friendly terms.

- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
