Insure Pro 2.0 - Database Developer - Design & Maintenance

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Database Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing databases to support business applications and analytics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of SQL, experience with ETL processes, and a deep understanding of data modelling and database performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities :

- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data integration and transformation using tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter.

- Work closely with application developers and data analysts to support backend data needs.

- Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure optimal database performance.

- Design and implement data models (normalized and denormalized) for transactional and analytical purposes.

- Monitor, maintain, and improve database security, integrity, and availability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.

- Maintain documentation related to database structure, processes, and development standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in database development and management.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with one or more major RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).

- Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica PowerCenter, Snowflake.

- Experience building ETL pipelines to load data into Snowflake.

- Solid understanding of data modelling concepts (star schema, snowflake, normalization).

- Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Good understanding of database security and data governance practices.

- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).

- Exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra is a plus.

- Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is a plus.
