Job Description :

SAP ABAP Developer will coordinate the plan, design, develop, test, and implementation of SAP programs across an enterprise-wide SAP system instance. This person must be able to work with a small team of SAP professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

Design & Development :

- Develop, customize, and enhance ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects).

- Create complex ABAP solutions including BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, and CDS views.

- Work with OData services, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and other ABAP-based tools.

System Integration & Implementation :

- Collaborate with functional consultants across modules (SD, FI/CO, MM, PP, IM/WM, QM) to gather technical requirements and provide solutions.

- Support full-cycle SAP implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.

- Provide technical support for SAP S/4HANA and ECC systems.

Performance Optimization :

- Debug and resolve complex technical issues across SAP systems.

- Optimize ABAP code for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

Collaboration & Support :

- Work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and SAP Basis teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.

- Provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, and deliver root-cause analysis.

- Prepare technical documentation for all development activities.

Innovation & Upgrades :

- Stay updated on new SAP technologies and recommend innovative solutions.

- Contribute to SAP S/4HANA migration projects and adapt legacy code to modern platforms.

Qualifications & Experience :

Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Experience :

- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.

- Strong expertise in end-to-end SAP project lifecycle implementations.

- Experience in system upgrades and migration projects.

- Exposure to at least one SAP S/4HANA full-cycle implementation is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of ABAP development in modules such as SD, FI/CO, MM, PP, IM/WM, QM.

- Experience with SAP EHP8 Business Suite on HANA and SAP S/4HANA ERP (Discrete Industry /

IS-Automotive preferred).

- Knowledge of UNIX or LINUX environments will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in ABAP Workbench tools, Enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs, OData, CDS Views, SmartForms/Adobe Forms.

- Experience with ALV reporting, IDocs, BDCs, Interfaces, RFCs, WebDynpro (optional).

- Good understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 integration with ABAP back-end services.
