Job Title : Senior Software Engineer ServiceNow

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow development, integrations, and customizations. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions that support enterprise-level processes and workflows across multiple modules. This role requires strong technical proficiency, deep knowledge of ITSM and ITIL processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Location : Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune

Experience Required : 3 to 6 years in ServiceNow development

Key Responsibilities :

ServiceNow Development & Customization :

- Design, develop, and maintain custom applications, workflows, and automation within the ServiceNow platform.

- Develop custom code for ServiceNow modules including ITSM, Service Portal, Scoped Applications, and more.

- Customize UI features using UI Pages, UI Macros, Jelly scripting, JavaScript, and other advanced scripting tools.

Requirements Analysis & Solution Design :

- Work closely with users and process owners to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements by leveraging ServiceNow capabilities.

- Design and implement new automated workflows and process enhancements within the platform.

Integrations & Third-Party Applications :

- Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, and other web service technologies.

- Ensure smooth data flow between ServiceNow and third-party applications with reliable, secure, and scalable integration solutions.

- Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance.

System Administration & Collaboration :

- Partner with internal process managers, ServiceNow administrators, and cross-functional teams to implement and support various ServiceNow modules.

- Ensure alignment of ServiceNow solutions with business objectives, compliance standards, and best practices.

- Support ServiceNow modules for SLA configuration, incident tracking, reporting, and dashboard creation.

Technical Leadership :

- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and best practices to team members and business units.

- Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and reviews.

- Champion ServiceNow capabilities within the organization and support adoption of new functionalities.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Technical Skills :

- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development in an enterprise environment.

- Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD)preferred.

- Strong scripting expertise : JavaScript, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Server Scripts.

- In-depth knowledge of ITSM modules and ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB).

- Experience in ServiceNow migrations, integrations, and workflow automation.

- Proficiency in REST/SOAP API development and working with message-based architectures.

- Hands-on experience with Service Portal, Scoped Applications, SLA management, and reporting.

Web & UI Technologies :

- Working knowledge of web development frameworks and technologies including AngularJS, HTML5, jQuery, and CSS.

- Ability to build responsive and user-friendly UI components within ServiceNow.

Professional Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.

- Proven ability to work effectively across multiple teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.

- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.
