Role Overview :

Seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer with 7+ years of QA experience to ensure quality and reliability of an industrial automation platform used in mission-critical manufacturing and energy environments. The role encompasses testing SCADA/HMI, soft-PLC logic, and IIoT capabilities deployed in 24/7 production systems globally.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and execute comprehensive test strategies (functional, integration, regression, system) for desktop, web, and embedded automation components.

- Design detailed test cases, test data sets, and regression suites for Windows applications, HTML5 web dashboards, and REST

APIs.

- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks (UI/API/integration) using industry-standard tools integrated into Azure DevOps CI/CD.

- Execute end-to-end scenarios simulating real manufacturing and energy plant operations, including industrial protocol communication and real-time data validation.

- Analyze defects, reproduce customer-reported issues, document findings, and verify fixes in collaboration with developers.

- Improve testing processes and standards; mentor junior testers in mission-critical QA practices.

Required Qualifications :

- 7+ years software testing/QA experience in industrial automation, SCADA, or mission-critical technical products.

- Expert-level knowledge of test design techniques, complete software testing lifecycle, and risk-based testing methodologies.

- Advanced hands-on experience with UI and API automation (Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent) with scripting in C#, Python, or Java.

- Proficiency with Git version control and CI/CD environments (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).

- Analytical mindset with excellent documentation, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

- Proficient German and English (spoken and written).

Preferred Skills :

- Experience testing PLC/soft-PLC logic, drive systems, OPC UA, or HMI/SCADA applications.

- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, real-time systems, hardware-in-the-loop, or field simulation testing.

- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA qualification.

- Performance, load, and security testing experience in 24/7 industrial environments.
