InOpTra Digital - Senior SAP PP/QM Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP/QM Senior Consultant to drive end-to-end manufacturing and quality process digitalization within our SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP PP and QM modules, strong understanding of discrete or process manufacturing environments, and hands-on experience integrating SAP with MES and shop-floor systems.

You will be responsible for configuring PP/QM processes, modeling complex manufacturing flows such as rework loops, ensuring aligned master data, and enabling seamless execution between SAP and MES. This role requires excellent functional knowledge, strong documentation and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality, IT, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure and optimize Production Planning (PP) processes including :

1. Production orders, planned orders, order types, confirmations

2. Bill of Materials (BOM), Routings, Work Centers

3. MRP strategies, scheduling, capacity planning

- Model and implement rework processes, repair loops, scrap, alternate routing, and engineering workflows.

- Manage prototype / pre-series / engineering build orders, ensuring correct tracking and reporting for non-standard manufacturing.

- Support end-to-end production execution processes such as order release, pick lists, backflush, GI/GR, and yield/scrap recording.

- Ensure PP master data integrity across BOMs, routing, production versions, work centers, and MRP views.

- Configure and maintain SAP QM processes including :

1. Inspection plans, MICs, sampling procedures

2. In-process, incoming, and final inspections

3. NC/CAPA (Nonconformance & Corrective Actions)

4. Usage decisions & quality notifications

5. Stability studies and complaint management (optional)

- Integrate QM processes into PP, procurement, and warehouse processes.

- Support batch and serial number integration for quality traceability.

- Align SAP PP/QM processes with MES execution flows and digital work instructions.

- Map MES operations, steps, and resource structures to SAP master data (BOM, routing, work center).

- Support real-time integration scenarios using IDoc, BAPI, RFC, OData, and interface monitoring.

- Collaborate with MES architects to ensure consistent process governance between SAP and production lines.

- Troubleshoot interface issues and support end-to-end testing for shop-floor digitalization.

Required Qualifications :

- 7- 12 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP and QM modules.

- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (discrete, repetitive, process manufacturing).

- Extensive experience with :

1. SAP PP configuration (orders, BOM, routing, work centers)

2. SAP QM configuration (inspection plans, MICs, QM in procurement & production)

- Rework loops, engineering changes, non-conformance handling

- Batch and serial number management

- Strong understanding of MES integration and shop-floor digital processes.

- Experience working with IDoc, BAPI, RFC, and debugging integration issues.

- Ability to create detailed functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers.

- Solid understanding of PP/QM master data and integration with MM, SD, WM/EWM.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and communication abilities.
