Purpose :

The purpose of Operations Engineer is to ensure the stability, scalability, and efficiency of our cloud-based infrastructure and applications while delivering excellent client experience. By combining strong technical expertise with proactive collaboration, the role focuses on deploying and maintaining infrastructure, troubleshooting complex application and system issues, and supporting clients directly when needed. This position plays a critical part in bridging operations, engineering, and client-facing teams, enabling seamless service delivery, reliable performance, and continuous improvement of our platform. Through participation in the 24x7 on-call rotation and close coordination with Client Service, Consulting, and Software Engineering, the role ensures uptime, strengthens security, and contributes to the long-term success of both our clients and our business.

Responsibilities :

- Troubleshooting infrastructure & application related issues.

- Collaborate with Client Service, Consulting and the Software Engineering teams to service our clients efficiently and with focus on client experience.

- Deployment of infrastructure and systems.

- Application & infrastructure maintenance.

- Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications :

Experience :

- 3+ years as an Operations Engineer or similar.

- Kubernetes (preferably EKS) as well as GitOps practices and tooling such as Argo CD.

- Technical infrastructure (e.g., deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.)

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients.

- AWS Cloud (RDS, IAM, Redshift, VPC/Security Groups, AmazonMQ etc.)

- Terraform (writing terraform code, configuring/managing resources and deploying resources).

Qualities we appreciate :

- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, with diagnosing and resolving network-related issues.

- Knows Python and shell scripting.

- Is familiar with Grafana Cloud or similar monitoring tools.

- Postgres knowledge.

- Operating and troubleshooting Java applications.

- Clear and confident communicator in English, both written and spoken.

- Organized and efficient, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and improve.

- Analytical thinker with both technical understanding and business awareness.

Work Conditions :

This is a remote position based in India, working closely with a team located in Australia. As such, the role requires some flexibility with working hours to accommodate regular collaboration across time zones, including early morning or late afternoon meetings. The position also includes participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation, supporting platform uptime, security, and service continuity. Youll work closely with internal teams such as Client Services, Consulting, and Software Engineering to ensure rapid response and effective incident handling.
