About the Role :

We are looking for a seasoned SAP BODS (SAP Data Services) Consultant to design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise-grade ETL/ELT solutions. The ideal candidate has strong data integration experience across SAP and non-SAP sources, deep knowledge of data quality and profiling, and proven delivery in migration to S/4HANA/BW/4HANA or cloud data platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- ETL Design & Development : Build robust ETL/ELT jobs in SAP Data Services (BODS) for data extraction, transformation, loading, and data quality management.

- Data Integration : Integrate data across SAP ECC/S/4HANA, SAP BW/BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, and non-SAP sources (SQL Server, Oracle, flat files, APIs).

- Data Quality & Governance : Implement Information Steward, profiling, match/merge, validation rules, and data cleansing frameworks.

- Migrations & Conversions : Lead/contribute to greenfield/brownfield S/4HANA migrations, legacy to SAP conversions, and delta strategies (incl. SLT/ODP).

- Performance Tuning : Optimize data flows, pushdown operations, partitioning, parallelization, memory management, and job execution times.

- Job Orchestration : Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs via Management Console and external schedulers (e.g., Control M, Redwood).

- Documentation & Standards : Produce HLD/LLD, mapping sheets, data dictionaries, runbooks, and adhere to coding/review standards.

- Stakeholder Management : Work closely with functional teams (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP), BI/analytics teams, and business SMEs to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

- Support & Operations : Provide L2/L3 support, root cause analysis, and production fixes within SLAs.

- DevOps & Versioning : Use Git/branching strategies, deployment pipelines, and transport management (preferred).

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Core: 5+ years hands-on with SAP BODS/Data Services (DS Designer, Job Server, Repository, Management Console).

- Data Quality: Information Steward (profiling, scorecards), data cleansing, address standardization, match/merge.

- SAP Integrations: Proven experience with ECC/S/4HANA, BW/BW/4HANA, HANA (views, procedures), ODP/SLT, IDocs/BAPIs/ABAP proxies (reading level).

- Databases: Strong SQL across HANA SQL/SQLScript, Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL Server; performance tuning.

- Modeling: Dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake), SCD handling, CDC strategies, conformed dimensions, audit/balance/control (ABC) design.

- Scheduling & Operations: Control M/Redwood/Autosys; monitoring, alerting, and incident/problem management (e.g., ServiceNow/Jira).

- Methodologies: Agile/Scrum, CI/CD basics, code reviews, unit/integration testing.

- Soft Skills: Strong client communication, requirement elicitation, estimation, and stakeholder management.

Education :

- BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science/Information Systems.
