Key Roles and Responsibilities :
- Meet client-specific requirements, ensuring compatibility with their existing IT infrastructure and systems.
- Perform rigorous testing of systems to ensure stability, efficiency, and security before full-scale implementation.
- Provide detailed documentation and standard operating procedures for the client, ensuring they understand the new systems and any changes made.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the implementation phase, offering timely and effective solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of implementation projects.
- Evaluate post-implementation system performance, making adjustments as necessary and providing ongoing support and optimization services.
Requirements :
- Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, business, finance or related field/technical training. Must have strong analytical skills.
- Minimum of 3 years experience required in technical role in the following focus areas : Data Center, Cisco Nexus Platform switches, Arista, Arista CVP desired, BGP, Automation experience - must have Ansible. Python is a plus.
- Unix/Linux background is a plus.
- CCIE preferred
- Financial services (Insurance, Banking, Investment banking), is a plus.
- Ability to be nimble and flexible; prioritize workload, proactively react to issues and consistently react to shifting deadlines.
- Ability to work weekends (as needed) for migration work
Implementation Engineer (IE) :
- Experience with Arista/ Arista CVP desirable
- Knowledge of Ansible (primary) or Python (backup).
- Heavy focus on BGP, Proficiency in routing/switching, usage of OSPF.
- Troubleshooting skills
- Linux/ Unix is desirable.
- Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center is a plus
- Fortinet is a plus
- CCIE candidates preferred.
- In general, if the bank asked a question and you dont know, they will drill deep. If you answer correctly, they move on.
- Bank will ask heavy BGP questions, states of BGP, msg types, route selection, local pref, osp channels, Admin distance,
- They might ask about spine/leaf, Unix/Linux
- Definitely will ask about Ansible and the underlying Yaml coding language. Candidates can speak to Python if they have it.
