Position : Python Automation Engineer with Pytest & BDD

Location : Hyderabad Hybrid

Education BE OR B.tech or MCA or M.Tech only

Interview rounds 1st Technical - Virtual , 2nd Technical - F2F, 3rd VP level - F2F

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing ones.

- Create, execute, and manage automated test scripts for web, API, and backend testing.

- Develop and maintain BDD test scenarios using Behave or Cucumber with Gherkin syntax.

- Perform API testing using tools like Rest Assured, JMeter, Karate, or equivalent.

- Conduct performance, load, and security testing using industry-standard tools.

- Write complex SQL queries for backend data validation and work with SQL/NoSQL databases.

- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to gather requirements, define acceptance criteria, and write detailed test cases.

Skills and experiences required :

- 5 years of proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer with Demonstrated experience in creating various Test Automation frameworks.

- Expertise across test automation frameworks/tools such as Selenium, Behave (BDD) with Strong programming skills in Python, Java and Gherkin

- Experience in SQL/NOSQL Databases with strong SQL scripting knowledge.

- A sound understanding of automated API testing using tools such as Rest Assured, JMeter, Karate, or similar.

- Experience in non-functional test automation such as performance, load, and security testing.

- Prior experience in the application and setup of CI/CD process and tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab etc.

- Knowledge of testing principles, methods, tools, and technologies,

- Ability to write test cases and regression

- Experience working in Agile environment

- Experience in Azure Devops will be an added advantage

- Good experience in working with Business teams for Requirements gathering and write test cases, acceptance criteria etc.

- Good client interfacing skills
