About the Role :

SG IT is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead the design and governance of cloud, on-prem, and hybrid infrastructure landscapes. This role is ideal for a strategic technologist who combines deep hands-on expertise with architecture leadership, governance, and operational excellence.

Must-Have Technical Expertise :

- Azure Cloud Infrastructure - architecture, design & implementation

- Strong experience with on-prem data centers, VMware / Hyper-V, and enterprise storage

- Deep knowledge of network architecture - LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers

- Expertise in IAM, security frameworks & compliance standards

- Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, Ansible

- Experience with DR, backup strategies & high-availability architectures

- Monitoring tools: Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Nagios

- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud models & migration strategies

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Cloud Architecture certifications (Azure / AWS / GCP)

- Exposure to Kubernetes & container orchestration

- Familiarity with DevOps & CI/CD pipelines

- Knowledge of cost optimization & FinOps principles

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and govern cloud & on-prem infrastructure architecture aligned with business goals

- Design secure, scalable, and resilient hybrid networks

- Lead on-prem to cloud migration strategies

- Establish architecture standards, governance & security best practices

- Collaborate with application, security & network teams

- Drive capacity planning, performance tuning & DR readiness

- Maintain architecture documentation, SOPs & runbooks

- Support incident & problem management, including RCA

- Drive continuous improvement in reliability & cost efficiency

- Mentor technical teams and guide adoption of emerging technologies

- Maintain KB accuracy, asset registers, SLAs & KPIs

- Publish monthly operational reports & quarterly governance updates

- Ensure strict adherence to security and access control policies
