Duties & Responsibilities :

- Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Assist in identifying and resolving performance, security, and stability issues across both network infrastructure and server systems.

- Deployment Support : Help configure and build new deployments, ensuring both networking and server components are set up correctly.

- Storage Management : Assist in managing and optimizing storage resources for both local and remote server systems.

- Vendor Interaction : Collaborate with third-party vendors to establish, monitor, and troubleshoot external connectivity for both networking and server-related services.

- Networking and Server Activities : Engage in hands-on tasks for both networking and server administration to ensure environmental continuity.

- Connectivity Implementation : Specifically focus on establishing new third-party connectivity implementations in managed datacentre locations, considering both networking and server requirements.

- System Optimization : Work with the team to identify opportunities for improving performance, efficiency, and resiliency of both networking and server infrastructure, by improving existing infrastructure configuration, as well as researching, evaluating, and adopting new technologies and products.

Experience/Skills :

- One or more of Cisco CCNA (or equivalent), ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Server certification is required for this position.

- 7+ years' experience and proven knowledge with both network and server infrastructure administration, ideally financial securities-related, is required.

- Direct experience with LAN / WAN Network implementation, configuration and support preferable.

- Working knowledge of Information Security technologies such as IDS, IPS, VPNs, and firewalls will be preferred.

- Knowledge of MPLS technologies and Network Management is preferable.

- Experience with FIX protocol networking connectivity is preferable.

- Experience or exposure to configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Server RDS 2012 - 2019 preferred.

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V networking aspects in 2012 R2 and 2019 preferred.

- Demonstrated history of self-reliance. (moved up)

- Demonstrated history as a "Jack of all trades" in technical infrastructure. (moved up)

- Experience or exposure to Linux and cloud technologies preferably Amazon Web Services a plus.

- Experience in financial (preferably securities industry) is strongly desired.

- Good command of spoken and written English is required. The position involves extensive interaction with teams in London and New York, as well as clients globally.
