- Solution Architecture focused on Hybrid Cloud

- Strong experience in Hybrid Cloud(Private Cloud (on-premises) and Public Cloud) and VMware / Microsoft Azure / Azure Local

- Slightly less experience into Public Cloud is also considerable.

- Profiles from Broadcom, Dell, Microsoft would be suitable fit to look for

- Hands-on creation, deployment, and end-to-end architectural ownership (Professional Services Experience).

Hybrid Cloud Experience :

- Predominantly private cloud (on-premises) experience.

- Blend of Both Private Cloud & Public Cloud is what is being expected.

- Public cloud familiarity (preferably Azure/AWS/GCP) is acceptable.

- Experience creating reusable architecture patterns, frameworks, and documentation

Technological Depth :

- Strong expertise in either one of the following key technology domains-

1. VMware stack experience (vSphere / ESXi Compute virtualization, vCenter Server Centralized management, NSX / NSX-T Network virtualization and micro segmentation, vSAN Software-defined storage, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Full-stack hybrid cloud platform, VMware HCX Seamless workload migration, VMware Tanzu Kubernetes and container orchestration, VMware Cloud on AWS / Azure VMware Solution)

2. Microsoft Azure(Azure Arc Hybrid and multicloud management, Azure Stack Hub / Edge / HCI On-premises Azure services, Azure Site Recovery Disaster recovery and failover, Azure ExpressRoute / VPN Gateway Hybrid connectivity, Azure Active Directory (AAD) Identity and access management, Azure Monitor / Log Analytics Observability and diagnostics, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Container orchestration)

3. Azure Local (Hyper-V Virtualization layer, Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) Software-defined storage, Azure Arc Resource Bridge Connects on-prem to Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Local session hosts, AKS on Azure Local Container orchestration, Azure Update Manager Patch management, Azure Monitor / Defender for Cloud Security and observability

- Hands-on exposure to Red Hat and OpenShift platforms

- Full lifecycle experience : from planning, design to deployment of hybrid solutions

- Must have executed on-the-ground deploymentsnot just strategy or oversight

Certifications (Examples) :

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)

- VMware Certified Professional - VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator 2024

- VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Cloud Management and Automation Design 2023

- Other relevant infrastructure/cloud certifications will be an added advantage

Findings & Clarifications :

- Candidates with strong VMware / Microsoft Azure / Azure Local either of the one experience and Hybrid Cloud experience are ideal

- Candidates whove architected and built end-to-end stacks

- Calibration agreement : Prioritize architecture depth in on-prem infrastructure

- Less Level of experienced candidates can also be considered if they match the JD perfectly.
