About the Role :

We are seeking a highly accomplished Principal Architect Python to define and drive the technical architecture for complex, enterprise-scale products and platforms.

The role requires a deeply hands-on technology leader with extensive experience in Python, AWS, distributed systems, cloud architecture, APIs, databases, DevOps, and product engineering.

The Principal Architect will work closely with senior technology and business stakeholders to establish architectural direction, solve complex technical challenges, and build highly scalable and resilient platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own and define the overall technology and solution architecture for large-scale products and platforms.

- Translate complex business requirements into scalable high-level and low-level technical architectures.

- Establish architecture principles, standards, design patterns, and technology frameworks across engineering teams.

- Lead architecture decisions across Python, AWS, APIs, databases, microservices, and cloud-native technologies.

- Design highly scalable, secure, available, and performant distributed systems.

- Provide hands-on technical expertise in Python and AWS, including development of POCs and foundational frameworks.

- Architect and optimize AWS Lambda/serverless solutions and cloud-native applications.

- Drive architecture around AWS Aurora, SQL, GraphQL, REST APIs, and distributed data systems.

- Work closely with engineering teams using React.js to ensure cohesive end-to-end application architecture.

- Establish standards for scalability, performance, reliability, security, observability, and maintainability.

- Review and challenge architecture and technical designs across multiple engineering squads.

- Mentor and guide architects, technical leads, and senior engineers.

- Lead resolution of complex production, performance, scalability, and architectural issues.

- Drive adoption of CI/CD, DevOps, automation, containerization, and modern engineering practices.

- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business, Security, Cloud, and other stakeholders.

- Influence technology roadmaps and identify opportunities for modernization and innovation.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and determine their applicability to business and product requirements.

- Ensure architecture decisions support long-term product scalability and business growth.

Required Skills :

- 14 - 25 years of experience in software engineering and architecture.

- Deep expertise in Python and modern software engineering practices.

- Extensive experience in Solution Architecture / Enterprise Architecture / Principal Architecture roles.

- Strong expertise in AWS and cloud architecture.

- Strong knowledge of AWS Lambda, Aurora, API Gateway and other AWS services.

- Expertise in Microservices, Distributed Systems, REST APIs, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture.

- Strong database architecture experience with SQL/RDBMS.

- Strong understanding of React.js or modern frontend architectures.

- Excellent knowledge of Design Patterns, SOLID, scalability, performance, security, and reliability engineering.

- Strong experience with Docker, CI/CD, DevOps, automation, and cloud-native development.

- Exceptional problem-solving, debugging, and technical decision-making skills.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.

- Experience influencing technology strategy across multiple engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification.

- Experience in building and scaling enterprise-grade products/platforms.

- Strong product development experience.

- Experience working with global stakeholders and distributed engineering teams.

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, or a related discipline.

Ideal Candidate :

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Principal/Enterprise Architect who combines deep Python engineering expertise with strong cloud architecture and product development experience.

The candidate should be capable of operating at both strategic and technical levels, influencing senior stakeholders while remaining technically involved in architecture, POCs, complex problem-solving, and engineering excellence.
